Theology of The Body!

Hello all. I have something wonderful I want to share with everyone, I want to shout it from the rooftops! It's the Theology of the Body.

His an article summarizing what it is about:

What is the Theology of the Body & Why is it Changing so Many Lives?

This website has other related articles that are very interesting and helpful. I recommend that everyone read Theology of the Body for Beginners by Christopher West, whose website I linked to above. It's only 130 pages long but it's very powerful, plus it's short length makes it accessible and therefore convenient to share with others. This isn't just a "Catholic thing". Also it's of concern to all regardless of whether you are single or married.

Another article I recommend:

Theology of the Body & the New Evanglization

Here's an exerpt from the above article:

Understanding the human body as a theology shouldn’t only be the interest of a few specialized theologians. It should be the interest of everyone who desires to understand the meaning of human existence. Even though it focuses on sexual love, as the Pope says, the theology of the body affords “the rediscovery of the meaning of the whole of existence, the meaning of life” (Oct. 29, 80).
There’s a reason we’re all so darned interested in sex and the beauty of the human body. When we have the purity to see it, they’re meant to point us to God. Understanding God’s plan for the body and sex “concerns the entire Bible” (Jan. 13, 82) and plunges us into “the perspective of the whole Gospel, of the whole teaching, in fact, of the whole mission of Christ” (Dec. 3, 80).

I cannot stress enough the urgency of this message. Please please please at least read these articles and I hope you seek to study into this more in depth and live it out and share it with others.

In Him,

Shana
