No Condemnation

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation” for God loves us no matter what we do or do not do. The reason God is making us wait [for a job/marriage] is no doing of our own; it is not because we are bad, sinful, or failures. It is so that God can use this to His glory. He is our loving Daddy, capable of anything and He will reach out and show love to His children. He can turn a bad situation into something more glorious than we can imagine. At this point I was asking and begging God to give us the crumbs, the left-overs, just enough to get by, but I think that He has more glorious plans than that. I think that Joe and I have been trying to earn His blessing by beating ourselves (spiritually) and purifying ourselves, but because of that attitude we have both lost sight of the character of God; His wonderful, graceful, everlasting love. That He delights in us no matter what because we are His children- His little ones that are proud of their Daddy because He is strong and can do amazing things. And we are watching with delight when He defends us, reaches out to us and holds us close despite His overwhelming glory. So for now, it is all we can do to serve Him faithfully and in love with the tasks He has given us to do this summer: mostly VBS, but also helping Lisa and Andrew, and other “little” things. But above all we must strive to never forget His love for us.
